Turkey Becomes the Rising Star of the Weitnauer Group

Dem Global Brands was founded in 1992 to trade in duty-freesector. The company who has been has been distributing world-renowned beverage brands  since 1997, came under the umbrella of Switzerland’s Weitnauer Group, thanks to its impressive performance. By benefitting from the power of Weitnauer Group, Dem Global became one of the growing companies in the alcoholic beverage market. Expressing how satisfied Wietnauer is with the potential of the Turkish Market, General Manager of Dem Global Kerem Kerimoglu said, “Weitnauer is satisfied with the company and its growth; they think Turkey is a promising market. Despite the economic fluctuations, the currency instability, and the industry’s difficulties in Turkey, the company’s growth over the past 10 years made it a rising star of the group.” The company who has expended by 60 percent in 2021 compared to 2022, recorded a turnover of 150 million TL. Kerem Kerimogluemphasized that trends have changed dramatically during the pandemic, said, “During the pandemic, people have been travelling less and the duty-free shops at airports have closed, therefore the shopping that were done at the airport have switched to shopping locally.” The company set the growth target for 2022 at 30%.
